As couples plan their outdoor weddings, all couple’s wonder about the weather.  More times than not the weather will offer the perfect day for your nuptuals. Remember, rain on your wedding day is good luck!

Sampson’s Hollow introduces The Foundry, built with the focus of the couple and their guests in mind.  In keeping with the atmosphere of our Appalachian ancestry, a foundry was used as a blacksmith shop, typically including fire or furnace needed to forge hot metals and mold into tools used on the farm.  While our foundry is not used for that purpose, plans are to add an outdoor fireplace in the future.  An open fire pit is centrally located near the building which can be used to offer the option of roasted marshmallows or S’mores’ as a special treat for guests.  The Foundry features a vaulted ceiling, concrete floors, vintage-inspired lighting and strands of Tuscany lights suspended from the gorgeous wooden beams.

The Foundry’s open floor plan allows the couple and the guests complete comfort while enjoying fully panoramic views of the Appalachian horizon.  The Foundry will comfortably accommodate up to 40 of your guests.

If you are planning a larger wedding, The Foundry combined with our awesome Front Porch can seat up to 175 guests comfortably.

Our wedding planners are our strength, not to mention our century old farm and incredible moutain views.  We take the time to know our couples, understand what is special about their relationship and reflect that in their special time as they say I Do.  We welcome the chance to speak with you about your special day ahead.  Why not schedule a tour and meet our staff and see if we are the romantic location for your I dos.
